If Martin is going to leave Miami (very likely), Miami could want to get a sign and trade to maximize his value, rather than losing him for nothing.
OKC takes on the contract of Harrison Barnes, a solid 3/D veteran wing. Kings include a 2nd to sweeten the deal for Sam Presti, after they traded 5 2nd for Dillon Jones. They route Miami’s own first back and also includes their own first (likely a late first).
Kings sign their guy (using full MLE) and also get off of the Barnes contract, while being able to upgrade his position with a trade using unneeded assets such as D. Mitchell, S. Vezenkov, C. Duarte, and K. Huerter.
