Just found out about Marcus Smart being bought out and likely joining the Lakers. He was the veteran I was seriously considering the Warriors trading for since they are already interested in signing Al Horford and they were teammates. His defense would also help alongside Steph Curry. But with him being bought out, I imagine they would do the same with Middleton. I’m not sure there’s really any interest in Holmes or Kispert. I don’t think either player really helps the Warriors either. So this just might knock out the Wizards in acquiring Kuminga.

I know the Bulls still have interest and we all know the Warriors have interest in Nik Vuc. The Blazers just drafted Hansen Yang and still have interest in Clingan so Robert Williams doesn’t really work anymore. I don’t think the Bulls will give up Nik Vuc w/out receiving a center in return. Mark Williams was the guy I was considering but then the Suns traded for him on draft day, so that ruined those plans. There is injury issues to worry about with Robert Williams but it’s only for a year and they might be able to get a Center in the 2026 draft! (Chris Cenac, Jayden Quiantence, Aaron Bradshaw) So now I’m just putting this trade idea out there to see what the interest is. Not sure if the Blazers are interested in Pat Williams, but the Bulls could send Kevin Huerter instead. I know the Bulls want to get off of Pat Williams’ contract but I’m not sure if any teams are interested in him.

Or if you can think of other teams that have draft capital and are interested in Kuminga let me know, but I’m about out of ideas now that the Wizards bought out Smart instead of sending him to the Warriors.
