The Bulls, much like my beloved Wizards, are about 3 years too late on a rebuild. However, they can still extract plenty of value as they push toward a full roster makeover. Here's a breakdown of all my moves, centered around a strategy of making Coby White a tank commander.

1) Trade Zach LaVine to Orlando for Cole Anthony, Jonathan Isaac, a 2024 second round pick and a 2025 first round pick. LaVine has been linked to Orlando in rumors for a while, as he could represent their final piece toward contention. However, his value is not quite what it once was, which is why I don't think the Bulls could realistically fetch more than one FRP for him. The expiring deal of Jonathan Isaac can either be flipped or waived. Cole Anthony could be a solid long-term backup at PG and an upgrade over Jevon Carter.

2) Sign and trade DeMar DeRozan to Sacramento for Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes and two protected first round picks (one in the top 3 and the other in the top 14). DeRozan, even at 34, is still one of the most clutch players in the game, and that's exactly what Sacramento needs to move up in the West. For Chicago, a shooter like Huerter is a great building block for a rebuild. You hate to have to absorb Harrison Barnes, but that's the price of waiting too long to deal DeRozan. In theory, you can move Barnes at the deadline to a contender.

3) Trade Alex Caruso to OKC for Ousmane Dieng and an FRP. As nice as it would be for the Bulls to keep one of the league's best defenders, a true rebuild comes at a price. Caruso is not on the timeline for a team that needs to tank. Getting a first rounder and a young prospect to develop is great value. Obviously for OKC, Caruso fits in perfectly with what they do on defense.

4) Trade Nikola Vucevic to Memphis for Luke Kennard and two second round picks. This is probably the most you can realistically get for Vucevic -- an aging center who doesn't defend particularly well. It's a nice buy low for Memphis in an effort to fill the hole left by Steven Adams. For Chicago, adding another shooter with a movable contract is the real value.

5) Sign Brandon Boston on a roughly 3-year/$30M deal. Boston is still young enough to grow into a bigger bench role. This would be a relatively low risk move with potentially high reward.

6) Re-sign Patrick Williams. Despite a rocky start to his career, Williams has established himself as utility player worth keeping for a rebuild.

In the draft, the Bulls could target a center. A lot of mocks have suggested Filipowski could be a good fit, but I think someone like Kel'el Ware or Yves Missi makes more sense for a team rebuilding.

In all, here's how the depth chart would look.

PG: Coby White, Cole Anthony, Jevon Carter

SG: Kevin Huerter, Ayo Dosunmu, Luke Kennard, Dalen Terry

SF: Harrison Barnes, Brandon Boston, Ousmane Dieng

PF: Patrick Williams, Jonathan Isaac

C: Kel'el Ware
