I like the fit a lot because playing with shooters like Curry, Podz, Porzingis opens up a lot of space for Simmons. When teams are doubling Curry expect a pass straight to Simmons for an open dunk. When defenses pile up on Ben, he can simply just pass it to an open shooter like Richard or Podz. Now what is undeniable, is his defensive instincts. I mean we all know the battle between Simmons and Gobert during the 2020 season for the DPOY and how tough that went down. Simmons can defend from 1-5 and has the feel on defense that makes him dangerous to get past. Now what needs to be said is the fit, you can't fit Draymond and Simmons on one lineup. It's simple, their shooting deficiencies when combined together creates awful looking offenses that can't hit shots because no one is good enough to do so. So I'd say Simmons is best when he's playing when Draymond's off the court. Now would I do it as the Warriors GM? Absolutely. You don't take those hidden gems for granted. Mike Dunleavy, now's your chance. Roll the dice and prove to us what you really got.
