This was mentioned on the Zach Lowe show, but I think it might make the most sense of the options.

Sixers: As much as the Sixers need to reorient into the Maxey VJ timeline, Embiid is going to be here for the duration of his deal. Embiid in his current physical state isn't the player he once was, but you can still win with him if you mitigate his weaknesses. Other than his availability, he can't move on defense and isn't pressuring the rim or drawing fouls as much on offense. AD might actually be able to help with all of those issues. The two of them have availability concerns, but can at the very least be insurance for the other. AD fixes a lot of the rim protection and rim pressure concerns Joel provides. As a cherry on top, AD will be able to actually play the four next to a (newly) perimeter oriented five man. AD's contract is nearly identical to PG's, and he's been a top 15 guy when healthy these past few years. If the price for turning PGs albatross contract into a real star is McCain (who hasn't played), one pick and one swap, that's a good bet to make.

Mavericks: I think it's a near lock that AD gets traded, given age/contract and his poor fit next to Flagg. Unfortunately, his market is going to be muted. The Mavs now follow Flagg's timeline, so any AD trade needs to be with that in mind. Jared McCain is a great fit with that vision. His shooting gravity on and off the ball would pair perfectly next to Cooper (think Derrick White and Jayson Tatum). Meanwhile, the 2028 Clippers 1st and 2029 Clippers swap improve their draft equity in the coming years. Paul George might be a corrosive asset, but Dallas was already straddled with that sized contract in the first place. PG isn't the talent of AD, but he's still a good player who can at the very least slide Coop up to his natural position and be a helpful mentor. With a starting five of Kyrie-PG-Washington-Flagg-Lively and a bench of McCain Gafford Marshall Christie & DLO, the roster is deep and talented enough to contend for the playoffs if they so choose. If not, Irving Gafford Washington and Marshall would have varying degrees of value on the trade market, and the remaining core is competent enough for a reset to not tank the franchise for years.
