HM1: Michael Porter Jr.

SUCCESS

In a vacuum, Michael Porter Jr. would be much higher on this list. Last season, he averaged 24 PPG/ 7 RPG/ 3 APG. Without context this seems like really good stats of a player in the 15-20 range. But the reason why he is a much lower on the list is because he was putting up empty stats for a really bad Brooklyn Nets team. When he played with the Nuggets in the 24-25 season, he put up 18/7/2. These stats seem like the stats of a very important role player, which is the title I would give to Porter Jr.. To improve upon this ranking, he would need to prove he can put up these stats on a more competitive team, whether that is in Brooklyn or a different team in the league.
