Clarkson is a magician and will have a far more efficient but more importantly meaningful year with Knicks. He can get got off the bench and fill in the gaps whenever needed. Always thought his best role was as a 6th man. I don’t really care how he is used but believe his contract is key here.

The Knicks are ready to move on from Randle just like Jazz are from Clarkson. Both getting new opportunities and a breath of fresh air.

The Jazz getting Randle just means they aren’t tanking. Not so sure it moves the needle and some Jazz fans will be more livid then Knick fans that the Jazz aren’t losing for Flagg. The fact is the Jazz aren’t tanking and can still get Flagg with one of their 3 picks. It requires luck 🍀

The Knicks get major cap relief for now and future. I can see this yielding other opportunities that will bring in key talent.

Knicks have made some great moves and now how more flexibility.
I don’t think Knicks do this for Clarkson but more so for his contract. Maybe they do it Feb as Randle likely on the injured list. This way Randle doesn’t have to play and the jazz rookies get more time.
