Pacers swap one (seemingly) failed prospect for another, hoping Carter can excel in a spot with where he has much more opportunity and room for growth. Kings trade Carter because they are just stuck at his position, taking a swing on Walker could be huge for them if they can find a way to utilize him properly. with Keon Ellis slowly slipping away in their rotation, they get a gritty 3&D young guy in Sheppard along with a pick next year. I honestly cannot say I’ve watched many Kings games, but from what I’ve seen Keon Ellis do and what Carter did in college would entice the Pacers enough to cash in on two guys that could fit very well next year. Kings begin to cash in all of their chips and begin the rebuild, this would just be the first domino to fall.
