Hawks Land Jaylen Brown
Hawks Receive:
Jaylen Brown
Brown is as impactful off the ball as he is with it in his hands. His pairing with Young is perfect. Perhaps this is the type of player the Hawks should always have sought to pair with their star point guard. Young can handle the ball-handling and playmaking duties. All he needs is an alpha scorer who holds his own on the defensive side of the floor. That’s Brown. He’s worth the cost they’re paying here. Brown would be replacing Hunter in the starting lineup anyway.

Celtics Receive:
Dejounte Murray
De'Andre Hunter
First-Round Pick Swap
Murray may not be a good fit alongside Young. Shooting is his only limitation, and that’s a prerequisite for playing with a ball-dominant playmaker. With that said, he’s a perfect fit alongside Jayson Tatum. After all, Murray is an outstanding playmaker in his own right. He’s also one of the best point-of-attack defenders in the NBA.
