Ok, first of all, I went into the arena planning to stay neutral but this crowd is so energetic and loud and fun that I couldn’t stop myself from rooting for the Heat. It’s crazy how loud NBA arenas are, I’d be completely blinded by the noise if I was a player, idk how they focus
Anyways, here are my biggest takeaways.
Kuzma is a good player. He had 28/7/5 and was arguably the Wizards’ best player tonight.
Bradley Beal can still ball. Beal hit a few huge shots late in the 3rd and 4th quarter to keep the Wizards in front. However, he did slip on the final play of the game, causing him to chuck up a bad shot with little time left.
Herro was probably the player that most outperformed his stat line. His stat line isn’t bad but he didn’t shoot too well, 20% from 3 and 22% from the field but he missed tough shots. He made a few big shots and had a ton of key passes down the stretch.
Player of the Game: Bam Adebayo. Bam came out BALLING, scoring 18 points in the first quarter. As soon as the Heat subbed him out, they started collapsing, leading to a big 2nd quarter deficit, which they overcame. Bam finished the game with 38/12.
