Boston gets rid of Jrue contract for giving up a pick. Yeah Rozier is awful but Jrue’s contract is worse, Rozier is an expiring.

Miami only takes on Jrue’s contract if they manage to land KD. Here they use the pick from Boston to reroute it to Phoenix (tbh it could be any combination of two firsts from Miami that Phoenix wants).

This is a kind of risky move for Miami since Jrue is clearly regressing, but if you make the move for KD might as well go all in. This is the best they can do without trading away all their future.
