The Heat giving two 1st round picks & Ware is a tough pill to swallow but it's with reason. I dont think the Pelicans would consider this unless they at least get a Center back. Deandre Ayton is available and McCollums contract lines up with his too.

First, the Pelicans would recoup the two 1st round picks lost in Dejounte trade. The Pelicans don't lose Brandon Ingram for nothing. Ware and Missi is a straight swap. Terry & Duncan can fill in roles right now. Duncan replaces Hawkins off the bench while clearing a path for Trey Murphy to start. Terry gives you great bench scoring and covers for Murray until he gets back. Mainly they both become attractive expiring contracts next year which you can then either trade or let them come off the books which is about 43 million.

Now for the Heat all this is done with the intention of trading Jimmy Butler next to either the Warriors, Rockets, Nets, or some sleeper team to recoup some picks lost in the Pelicans trade. They'll probably get a young guy to add to the core and some solid role guys for salary filler.

A Heat core of Herro, Ingram, Bam, Hawkins, Jaquez, Jovic, Highsmith, Missi & young guy from Jimmy trade can contend in my opinion.

A Herro Hawkins backcourt would give you elite shooting/shotmaking/gravity. Ingram gives you iso scoring and hes an underrated playmaker/passer. Bam can do it all especially on defense. Biggest question is who would play Center. Jaime, Jovic, Highsmith lead the bench. Now all this depends on who the Heat get back in the Jimmy trade.

Most importantly the Heat will still remain players for Giannis if he ever becomes available. Adding Giannis to scorers/shooters in Herro, Hawkins & Ingram while having Bam as his frontcourt partner would be amazing. Herro 24, Hawkins 22, Ingram 27, Giannis 29, Bam 27. This lineup would give Giannis the rest of his career to compete for a championship.

Only bad part of this scenario is the Heat would have to trade Jaime, Jovic, Highsmith, (young player from Jimmy trade), salary filler, all the picks and swaps they have. They probably still wouldn't contend with a potential OKC offer but they can try.

So what are your thoughts on all these crazy ideas? Who says no?
