Heat Land James Harden

Heat Receive:
  • James Harden

The Heat will have a significantly better offense following this deal. There is a condition here. Harden has a player option this summer. The Heat would need him to sign it and agree quickly to an extension. If they don’t have the assurance that he’s willing to make a long-term commitment, they can’t sacrifice Adebayo to rent him for a season. Assuming that holds, this is a good deal. The Heat would need to replace Adebayo at cost. Assuming they can find a cheaper defensive big, they should be a better team next year.

Heat Offseason Moves

  • Trade Duncan Robinson, Victor Oladipo, and 2 FRPs for Myles Turner

  • Re-sign Kevin Love for 1 year / Minimum

  • Sign James Harden for 3 years / $105,000,000

  • Re-sign Gabe Vincent for 2 years / $11,000,000

  • Re-sign Max Strus for 3 years / $30,000,000

  • Re-sign Omer Yurtseven for 2 years / $9,000,000

SF Jimmy Butler

PF Kevin Love

C Myles Turner

PG Kyle Lowry

SG Gabe Vincent

SF Max Strus

PF Caleb Martin

C Omer Yurtseven

76ers Receive:
  • Pascal Siakam

For the Sixers, this is all about convincing Joel Embiid to stick around. That may not be an easy task. It’s been suggested that if Harden does leave, Embiid may not be far behind. The Sixers surely would prefer to avoid fielding a trade request from their perennial MVP candidate. Acquiring Siakam may just do the trick. For starters, Embiid and Siakam are close. Landing one of his best friends in the league may do enough to appease the big man. Of course, that’s not enough reason to do the deal on its own. Luckily, the pair make basketball sense together too.

76ers Offseason Moves

  • Pick Up Tyrese Maxey's Team Option

  • Re-sign Shake Milton for 2 years / $17,000,000

  • Sign Austin Rivers for 1 year / Minimum

Raptors Receive:
  • Bam Adebayo

Siakam and Scottie Barnes are somewhat redundant as big, two-way playmaking wings. By contrast, Adebayo is one of the most versatile defensive big men in the NBA. He’s also a deft passer who’ll make up some of Siakam’s playmaking.

Raptors Offseason Moves

  • Draft Brice Sensabaugh (10th)

  • Pick Up Scottie Barnes's Team Option

  • Pick Up Precious Achiuwa's Team Option

  • Pick Up Malachi Flynn's Team Option
