Trade Herro's expiring contract to the Pelicans for Jordan Poole's expiring contract plus their valuable 2027 pick swap. If the Heat wants to make the playoffs while still building for the future (their own 2027 lottery protected pick belongs to the Hornets), they can do that while having the option to trade Poole at the deadline if he doesn't work out. Meanwhile the Pels gets a player that fits the Zion timeline for a playoff push with a chip on his shoulder, that is looking to get a max contract. It's a win-win scenario for both teams in my opinion.
