Rotation:
PG: LaMelo Ball/Vasilje Micic/KJ Simpson
SG: Josh Green/Tre Mann/Seth Curry
SF: Brandon Miller/Cody Martin/Tidjane Salaun
PF: Miles Bridges/Grant Williams/Moussa Diabate
C: Mark Williams/Nick Richards/Taj Gibson
Team Profile:
LaMelo, when healthy, is a star. The issue is he hasn’t been healthy a lot. However, the Hornets appear to have found LaMelo a solid co-star: #2 pick in 2023 Brandon Miller. Miles Bridges has been brought back as well, and Mark Williams is young and improving. Josh Green rounds out the starting lineup. The bench is interesting. Grant Williams and Nick Richards form one of the best backup big combos in the NBA, and Tre Mann and Vasilje Micic are both solid. The most interesting guy is #6 pick Tidjane Salaun. He’s someone who I didn’t understand why Charlotte picked him, so it’ll be interesting to see what they have planned for him.
Strengths:
Young talent
Depth
Weaknesses:
Health
Inexpirience
Analysis:
If LaMelo and Brandon Miller can stay healthy, then it would not be surprising, in fact rather likely, that the Hornets make the play-in.
Record: 32-50, 3rd in Southeast, 9th in East
