This would leave two more 2-way contract slots available. One of which should likely be used on a center, in the unlikely scenario he we can, I'd sign Amari Williams or Vladislav Goldin out of UDFA. The third slot should be used liberally, giving as many players opportunities as we can.

This makes our guard depth elite with 4 starting caliber guards assuming VJ gets there. Our wing and forward depth is also strong enough to have Okogie as a third stringer. I believe the Hornets need to start pushing to win and fixing culture. This brings in a highly competitive player in Sexton who has shown real production too. Almost every player now on this roster could be described as a hard worker or high motor player.

The center depth is weak. Neither of Moussa Diabate or Paul Reed are starting caliber centers and Saric was losing minutes to Deandre Jordan last year. If needs be Grant Williams or even DaRon Holmes can play center. However Diabate is the definition of a grinder and will help with the culture of hard work. Reed put in all the work in the G to earn his spot in the league. Moreover, this team could use another strong pick next year and center is a position I think makes a big difference in the regular season. Our guards/wings can develop with these two lower talent but competitive centers and that position will be addressed a year from now.
