With Lillard out for the season (and very likely the post season) the bucks decide to move off of Lillard and his contract and bring in 2 players in their prime, as well as a rotation wing shooter in Juzang on a cheap contract.

The Jazz acquire an unprotected pick in 2031 when Giannis will likely no longer be a Buck, and plan on Lillard being a strong presence for the young guards on the Jazz roster while he rehabs for the year. It also allows the Jazz to tank one more year and keep their top 8 protected pick for 2026 instead of conveying it to OKC. Next Season they can re evaluate and either push for the playoffs with Lillard and Markkanen, or use Lillard's expiring contract next season depending on Lillard's health.
