The Jazz:

The Jazz are at a crossroads with Goberts contract. Currently eligible for the supermax extension, the front office may look to pivot in a different direction and focus on building around Donovan Mitchell. I don’t think the Jazz would consider moving Gobert for purely future assets. I believe they will want to remain competitive if they choose to trade Gobert. This gives them a great replacement center, while giving them some youth that they desperately need.

The Hawks:

The Hawks made a great deal giving up the number 17 pick in this years draft to get Capela. However, maybe they look at Wiseman and consider him to be the big man they want to pair with Trey Young and John Collins long term. This moves them up from 6 to 2 so they can snatch him before Charlotte picks at 3. Trey Young has also exceeded expectations early and put them on a competitive track faster than expected. taking on Wiggins contract shouldn’t be too difficult as they still have a lot of young players on smaller contracts, and it gives them a more proven wing that can be paired well as a secondary option to Trey Young. They also get a late 1st round pick to take a swing on a high upside prospect later in the draft.

The Warriors:

Gobert gives the Warriors an all nba center at his prime, and someone who can compete at the highest level and defend elite bigs like Davis and Jokic this upcoming season as they pursue another title. They very well could end up just taking Wiseman here and roll the dice on an unestablished big so they can comfortably handle his salary long term, but with their core players getting older, they may look to get an elite center now to push for a title this upcoming year. This also saves them about 4 million dollars by swapping contracts between Gobert and Wiggins, on top of the 8.5ish million they would have to pay the 2nd pick if they elected not to trade it. 12.5 million dollars cut From their salary will dramatically reduce their tax penalty.
