Moving Conley allows the Jazz to start Mitchell at the 1 so mitchell will play more with the ball in his hands. This also allows them to get longer perimeter defenders in the 2-4 spots.

The Wizards are able to trade KCP, ish smith, and move back 6 spots in in the draft for a veteran pointguard who can either run the offense or play off the ball with Beal on the court. It's a relatively small price to pay to obtain conley, as Conley will be 35 and 36 for his remaining 2 seasons on this contract. Trading for Conley allows the wizards to be more competitive now in an attempt to return to the playoffs with Beal and Porzingis leading the way.

Hawks

The Hawks are able to obtain Gobert who Is an ideal fit to pair next to Trae Young. Their strengths offset each other's weaknesses, and with Trae Youngs playmaking ability, Gobert should flourish in the pick in roll more than he has in the past as a lob threat. The Hawks maintain their perimeter players, allowing them to start huerter, bogdanovic, and hunter on the wings.
