For Cha - Hayward can’t stay on the court, though still produces when he does. With Bridges extension coming up the may look to move Hayward to free up money. In this deal they free up $7m for this season and $22m for next season. Can possibly put Richards in deal aswell to save a further $1.7m. They also get Holmes who fills a need at center. Harkless & Holiday can fill some minutes that Hayward leaves open. They also pick up multiple vet expiring deals who can be moved in other deals.
For Sac - The get a solid player (although I highly overpaid) to either start or come off the bench as a 6th man. They basically give up a bunch of role players who aren’t apart of the core going forward. A starting 5 of Fox / DDV / Hayward / Barnes / Sabonis with Mitchell / Davis / 7th Pick / Jones coming off the bench, is a nice 9 man rotation to start the season. Pick up a interesting project piece in Kai Jones who could be a great fit with Sabonis if he were to pan out.
