Ideal transfer for Kings

FAILED

I find this an interesting prediction of sorts. Assuming the Celtics don't win the championship this year, they might start to get seriously worried financially, as this isn't sustainable. In this sense, I think the most expendable player is Holiday. He's already 34 years old and still plays very well on defense, but I think his offensive level has already declined, and it seems to me like the most appropriate move for the Celtics to loosen their salary. We all agree that I don't think Monk would be a good fit, but I can't think of another Kings player who could be more useful to them. Finally, I want to make it clear that Boston obviously has far better options on the market than Monk, because trading one for the other would mean losing too much defense.

For the Kings, if the goal is still going to be competing for a ring, I don't see a better move than this. They need an elite defensive point guard to accompany Zach Lavine. Holiday can't fit in here (obviously, age would be an issue if the goal is still to compete), and Monk no longer fits on this team. They desperately need defense and they have to sacrifice someone. We can discuss what each player receives with each round, but that's the least of it. I think the idea is the most interesting. Besides, he could be one of the best mentors for Devin Carter. I still need to trade Derozan for a better defender with some offensive ability, but this move alone could create a great team. The starting five would be: Holiday Lavine Derozan/Laravia Murray Sabonis I love Laravia's defensive commitment and ability to score three-pointers.

All of this is ruined if Boston wins the ring again this year.
