• Sacramento gets Grant who they extend for $89m over 4 years. Structure the contract to start at $25m then have 8% decreases ever year like they did previously with Barnes. Take McDaniels into TPE aswell for salary matching purposes. They give up Holmes who is out of the rotation and a lightly protected top 3 protected 23 1st, which becomes unprotected in 24. Grant in theory could be the perfect 4 to put next to Barnes and Sabonis. They gamble next year on being descent with the lightly protected 1st but this is a risk Monte McNair needs to take to get an extension beyond next season.

• Charlotte gets Holmes for Plumlee, McDaniels and a future 2nd. Holmes is a pretty descent younger upgrade on Plumlee. Pretty easy win for Charlotte here who help facilitate this trade by taking Holmes’ longterm salary.

• Detroit gets Sac 23 1st (23 top 3 profected / 24 unprotected) + Metu + Chi 22 2nd + Cha 26 2nd + expiring filler (Plumlee & Len) + $6m trade exception for Grant. The main piece is the Sac 1st but they also get some young minor assets in Metu who has shown promise in Sac, aswell as 2x 2nds. They take back no long term salary, create a $6m trade exception and save $6m for this offseason aswell. Plumlee and Len are just expiring filler so can be used as expiring filler at deadline or released/bought out.
