So I watched the Bobby Marks trade guide for the Kings and he kept reiterating that Sac should not go after a max player because it would severely hinder them when it comes time to extend Fox and Murray, which I would agree. He obviously mentioned Kuzma and his descending contract being more manageable, but I'm not sold on Kuz. He needs the ball in his hands and has a tendency to stall out an offense and then jack up a ridiculous shot.

I think if New Orleans is serious about staying under the luxury tax in the coming years, they will seriously consider this trade. Obviously, Huerter has 2 more years remaining on his contract, but his single contract will be much cheaper than Jones and Murphy's combined contracts after Murphy extends for 15-20 Mil a year. And Huerter is easily movable for an expiring and maybe another FRP.

New Orleans has a history of taking pick heavy packages(Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis) instead of equal player value trades(even though Huerter still has some solid value), which makes this trade even more possible.

Some Sac fans may think this is too much for role players, but these are some of the best young role players in the league under team control for a long time and Sac desperately needs defense and length(both 6'8" and lanky). This also gets Sac a Barnes replacement when that move inevitably happens to make space for Murphy's contract.
