Big Draft Night Trade

SUCCESS

Not perfect but interesting idea. Who says no?

Hornets - turns expiring deals into a rebounding big man who can be an offensive hub for young shooters. Costs is moving back from 18 to 28 in draft and a lottery protected pick next year (they have 2 other 2027 1sts).

T-Wolves - add playmaking and scoring to backcourt while also adding depth and physicality to front court and freeing up some extra money next offseason. Cost is moving from 28 to 34 in draft.

Clippers - turn two expiring contracts into one expiring deal while improving the roster to keep Kawhi around. Cost is moving back in draft from 5 to 7 but also adds a lottery protected pick next year in the process.

Kings - move up from 7 to 5 in draft while also adding the 18th pick from the sabonis trade. Frees up a ton of cap next offseason with expiring deals and creates playing time for younger bigs on roster. Cost is potential future assets to move up in current draft slots.

Pacers - Only here because they currently have Clippers pick under their tab.
