Noah Penda - Le Mans Sarthe Basket wing - 20 y/o
Stats: 10 p/g, 5 r/g, 3 a/g, 30% 3pt, 1.4 stl
Measurables: 6'8" - 225 lbs - 7'0" wingspan
Penda is one of the most high-upside guys in the class, and many people have different views on him. To some, he's a late 1st rounder, to others, he'll be taken near the lottery. His off-ball defense is his best quality, as he led the French league in combined blocks and steals per game. Penda has tremendous hand-eye coordination, which leads to deflections and steals, and he's a good on-ball defender as well. His feel for the game and high-level athleticism also helps out his defensive ability. Penda’s awareness is one of his greatest gifts on offense, too. He's always in the right place at the right time and has a knack for fitting passes into tight holes for easy buckets. He's not going to be a lead ballhandler or playmaker or anything, but he is a very good connecting piece. His biggest question is whether or not his offensive game will translate: He's a confident driver who is capable of getting downhill with his athleticism, but he sometimes struggles to create shots in the paint. Penda's jumper is iffy, and although he's improved significantly over the course of the year, he's still fairly inconsistent.
