Responses to his claims:
1: Ok if it does mean that his era was strong, The "GOAT" should get it done MORE THAN ONCE RIGHT? Jordan got it done with 9 HOF in the 90s. Kobe got 4 rings with the Spurs dynasty, Lebron roaming, Celtics, and many more great teams. JASON KIDD AND THE NETS, CARTER, MCGRADY on the raptors, It's not like we haven't seen guys win even when competition is packed.
2: He won once in 67. If you use that, then that means Hakeem overcame the Bulls. Obviously not stop trying to twist the claim. Bill got the job done when it mattered most against Wilt most of the time. THAT IS A LITERAL PROVEN FACT! Wilt went 1/8 in the playoff series with Bill. Do the math, that's about a 12-win percentage for the "GOAT" against his biggest rival. OK LOL. And then you try to discredit Billy by saying he wasn't in his prime. He was still amazing! Let's see his stats: 18.5 PTS 45.9 FG% 7.3 REB 2.6 AST
Basically, J dub but in the 60s and Wilt got it done once. Even after he won in 67, he lost two more TIMES TO BILL! What a scrub!
You love mentioning stats that Wilt had but you fail to mention all the times Wilt lost to Bill. Typical. Calling me a casual when your INFORMATIONS BIASED!
Now were trying to discredit rings? This is fun. The pinnacle of basketball is hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy when the seasons ends. Its the reason why they all play so of course its going to get valued. Not saying its the deciding factor, but you trying to pull the Robert Horry ring part is just so moronic of you because you even know the GOAT is decided on 5 factors.
Skill Championchips Stats: Regular season and postseason Efficiency Adjusted data for the era's of players that are being debated in.
I'm going to let you in on something, and I'm going to say it very slowly. If you are the GOAT, take them down. Bill had 8 HOF great. Good for him. Get it done Wilt. He didn't. Because he was too caught up in chasing records and stats. That's the difference between my GOAT debate. I care about winning. GOATS are the main guys, the superstars who get it done when it matters the most against the best of the best. WILT DIDN'T DO THAT! It's just that simple. Get it through your head casual, Wilt was not good enough to beat Bill and his Celtics consistently.
54% for a guy that was taller and stronger than everyone else isn't good enough. HES A CENTER GOD DAMN IT not a guard! Wilt could always pass to his teammates. The problem was, he was too cocky and never fully believed in his teammates. Wilt might've been one of the most skilled, but because of that he was the most arrogant and prideful. Bill was from day 1, a leader and someone who you would respect and believe in them come game time. Its the little things. Wilt had a very eventful life. Messed around with a lot of woman but that's not the point. The point is, his numbers dropped in the playoffs. Plain and simple. When he needed to rise above the occasion, he fell again, again and again.
So I did some statistics, and if you were to give Wilt the same amount of possessions Jordan got in 86-87 (when he averaged 37), his best season, which was 50 PPG, would drop to 38. Amazing for sure but not other worldly anymore, further proving that Volume doesn't equal Amazing quality!
Lebron: Came back down 3-1 against the second greatest team ever assembled and the team that won 73 games. Brought Cleveland their first title and one of the best redemption stories ever. LEGENDARY.
Curry: Won in 2015 against LeBron and the cavs (Granted Kyrie and K love were injured) and in 2022 took down everyone on his own with some help from Wiggins on his way to his first title since KD and solidified himself as arguably the Greatest Point Guard of all time. LEGENDARY.
Giannis: Down 2-0 against a young/hungry Suns team. I was already hearing Giannis trade suitors. He comes back down 2-0 and in a closeout Game 6 DROPS 50! LEGENDARY!!
KD has been hammered with a lot of bad decisions and bad injury luck. Still love the guy but he doesn't have an all-time carry job like these three have.
Wilt couldn't finish the job. Not while the entire team was on his back. He just didn't have it in him. And that's ok! Still a top 20 player.
You as a laker should be disgusted with bringing Magic's trade request into this and comparing that with Wilt's arrogance and lack of leadership. Magic requesting a trade set the path up for Pat Riley to be hired. THEY'RE NOT WINNING THOSE RINGS WITHOUT PAT!
Jordan's flaws as a human are for sure to be questioned. But make NO MISTAKE about it, when it was basketball time, we were a team. Yeah, I'm the best, but I need the rest of you to win the game. That was Jordans Mentality. Wilt's mentality was " Let me get my numbers, pull some bitches, go home" plain and simple.
Love how you mentioned jealousy right after talking about Jordan lol. Wilt wasn't the only one who got this type of hate. Jordan's LITERAL ROBIN is holding the biggest grudge just because he couldn't accept the fact that it was MJ's team. Either way, the jealousy led to 6 rings, so it all worked out. Also, jealousy from other players on other teams doesn't affect his ability to win. Funny enough that same season, he faced Bill and his PPG dropped by 17 points.
This was fun. I enjoyed doing all this research. Also, if anything, you shouldn't talk about basketball. All of your counterclaims were debunked and proven either false or slightly false.
Clear as day WILT IS............................ NOT THE GOAT.
