Saint had been the head coach for the Pelicans G-League squad, the Birmingham Squadron, since 2022. Under Coach Saint, the Squadron went a disappointing 38-66. However, the new Knicks hire showed off his impressive offensive coaching skills in the 2023-2024 season, where the Squadron averaged the 4th most points per game (despite finishing 19th in pace) and led in offensive rating. Additionally, according to Ian Bagley, SNY reported, “He’s viewed in NBA circles as a bright offensive mind.”
