Fitted to the Game NCAA Top 15 Rankings
Kansas (11-1) Big-12 As solid as they come, the collective length of top potential draft picks Jalen Wilson and Grady Dick have this team on a string and prepared night for night to continue to defend their national title. Their next battle comes against Oklahoma State (12/31).
Purdue (12-0) Big-10 Is an undefeated team that is one more notable victory away from the number-one spot for me. The way that Zach Edey is playing ball right now is admirable! They might be the toughest problem in the Big 10 if they can hold off Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan in conference play. Nex- battles are up against Florida A&M (12/29).
Arizona (12-1) Pac-12 This team is well-rounded, a deadly weapon behind the 3-point line, and gritty enough to win scrappy battles in the trenches. Next battle (12/31) at Arizona St.
UConn (13-0) Big East The Huskies are special because of the dominance this team possesses at multiple positions. 6-5 Sophomore Jordan Hawkins is top 5, one of the purest scorers in the nation. Their versatility and force in the paint make them the favorite in the Big East and a contender in the national title race. Big battles this week against Villanova (12/28) and Xavier (12/31).
Houston (12-1) AAC The Cougars have to be one of America's favorite teams at the moment. After a vigilant effort in the tournament last year, coach Kelvin Sampson and company have shown they are the real deal. Newcomer Jarace Walker gives this Houston team versatility with his ability to perform on the wing and in the paint in a small ball line up Knocking off top-ranked Virginia, Houston looks to improve against Tulsa (12/28) and UCF (12/31).
Arkansas (11-1) SEC The Razorbacks have one of the most talented groups this season as Nick Smith plays, coming off an injury and Anthony Black continues to show the world that he is a lottery pick, this team is here to make history. Their next battle comes (on 12/28) @ LSU
Texas (10-1) Big-12
As a proud Longhorn fan, We had a pretty good showing against a lengthy PAC-12’s Stanford who looks to have two potential prospects to go in this year's NBA draft. Freshman Arterio Morris had a very great outing against Louisiana as this deep veteran lead squad continues to defy adversity. The next battles are Texas A&M Commerce (12/27) and Oklahoma (12/31).Miami (12-1) ACC The Hurricanes are in! Having convincing wins against NC State and Virginia this past Tuesday this is a tough team to battle in the ACC. Norchad Omier is the anchor on this posting consistent double-doubles night for a night that pushes this team to perform at a high level. They host Vermont (12/28) and battle Notre Dame (12/30).
Alabama (10-2) SEC Brandon Miller’s stock just keeps rising. Though they suffered a heartbreaking loss to Gonzaga, this team is truly a contender in the SEC and for the national title. After getting their swagger back in a win against Jackson St. The Crimson Tide looks to continue (12/28) @ Miss St.
Virginia (8-2) ACC Such a talented group, of well-manicured guard-play out of the Cavaliers. We’ve learned so much from the two consecutive losses the Cavaliers took from top 25 opponents, Houston and Miami. The common dominator, in my opinion, was tenacity. I've watched the grit of this Virginia team just get out-dueled in both bouts. I think they could benefit from starting their younger guy, Ryan Dunn. The next battles are against Albany (12/28) and Georgia Tech (12/31).
Tennessee (10-2) SEC The Volunteers are a well-balanced group with the right amount of size, depth, and shooting ability to compete in the national spotlight. Julian Phillips is one of the best guards in the SEC & this Rick Barnes team is still one of the nation's most dangerous teams. The next battle is against (12/28) Ole Miss.
Baylor (9-2) Big-12 The Bears are quietly making a name this year. I think they suffered some growing pain-like losses but overall I think this team will be a tough one to battle as a potential top-ten pick, Keyontae George leads this team into Big 12 conference play but first, they battle Nicholls St. (12/28) before Big 12 opponent Iowa St (12/31).
UCLA (11-2) Pac-12 Jamie Jaquez has been one of the most efficient scores in the nation for quite some time. With the help of Jaylen Clark, this group makes a push into my top 15. The next battle comes (12/30) against Washington St.
New Mexico (12-0) Mountain West What a stellar performance from coach Richard Pitino, defeating and continuing the legacy of the Pitino name. This comes as no surprise. Led by a cast of mostly seniors. Jr. guard Jamal Mashburn Jr., leads the team in scoring. After defeating PVA&M, they defend home court (12/28) against Colorado St. before traveling to Wyoming (12/30).
Charleston (12-1) CAA This group takes on takes on the personality and swagger of their head coach Pat Kelsey. Raekwon Horton is a young sophomore that I believe is the X-factor and could put the nation on notice once the NCAA tournament rolls around. The next battle is @ home against Hampton (12/29).
