There's been some recently reporting from Ian Begley that the Knicks are looking at Andre Drummond and since there's also been rumors about them trading Kelly Oubre, I combined this with previous reports on Jose Alvarado and then a smaller move with Kris Murray (there's no real rumors on this but I just don't see Dadiet on the roster past the trade deadline and there's not a ton of options. Team by team below.
76ers: As I said above, the word is the 76ers may be looking to trade Drummond and Oubre. So I have them trade both to the Knicks for Mitch and the protected Washington FRP. That pick is almost certainly not going to be a first in this years draft but it will likely be around pick 31 in the second round for the next couple of years which is still decent. They also get Mitch to give them a backup center to replace Drummond. Mitch may have a worse injury history than Drummond but he's the superior offensive rebounder and rim protector. They also shed a tiny bit of salary which would reduce their tax bill.
Pelicans: I've done a similar trade already so I won't go too in depth but Alvarado is already not playing as much and with Poole healthy again has been pushed further down the depth chart. He can also opt out next year and so the Pelicans get a couple of SRPs as well as Yabu who would hopefully fit the Pelicans system better than he did the Knicks. At the very least, I doubt he'd make things worse for the Pelicans, who are having a terrible season. He's motivated to play well since he's aiming to be able to opt out and get a higher contract which fits the Pelicans non-tanking season.
Blazers: Murray has also been pushed down the depth chart and mainly gets minutes when other players are injured. The Blazers get a couple of SRPs and Dadiet who's not much of an asset as a player but is only 20 and is under contract for 3 seasons.
Knicks: The Knicks are reportedly looking at Drummond and he's come up before in previous seasons. He's still a rebounding machine and has a better injury history than Mitch. He's not as good on the offensive boards or as a rim protector but he can soak up minutes while KAT rests. Basically, he's consistent and the Knicks could feel pretty comfortable with him on the second unit. Oubre would come to provide insurance in case Anunoby misses more time and he's also been consistently putting up solid numbers. He's also a good defender and provides the Knicks with a bigger option at wing if they decided to start him (having Bridges, Anunoby and Oubre is a pretty good defense). Brunson and Hart have also reportedly advocated for Alvarado, who's a more proven backup PG who can play good defense and move the ball well. Finally, the Knicks get an upgrade in Murray from Dadiet. Murray hasn't been that great in Portland but he's a solid defender and hopefully the Knicks shooting coaches could work their magic like they did on Hart this season. At the very least, he can play more minutes than Dadiet. The Knicks would have a deeper team with 10-12 players who could reasonably receive decent minutes (more if Kolek keeps playing well and once Shamet comes back). Depth chart below.
PG: Brunson, Alvarado, Kolek
SG: Bridges, Deuce, Clarkson
SF: Hart, Shamet, Murray
PF: Anunoby, Oubre, Diawara
C: KAT, Drummond, Hukporti
