Comment Opinions Please. Is This Good? Read The Full Description As All The Trade Details, Draft Picks, & Free Agent Signings Are There.

  1. Trade Evan Fournier, Cam Reddish, 2023 DAL 1st (top 10 protected) 2024 2nd via MIA, 2024 2nd via CLE in exchange for Malcom Brogdon

Why? One mans trash is another man’s treasure. The Reddish fit in New York just hasn’t worked and Indiana should be all over the idea of adding Reddish to their young core. Fournier’s contract isn’t ideal but for cap filler + the picks it evens out.

  2. Draft Jalen Duren (C, 6’11 250) With the #11 pick.

-Duren is one of the youngest prospects in this draft and already has some of the best physical attributes. He’s gonna take some time to develop but he fits the mold of being a “Thibs guy” with his physicality and bruising defense down low.

  3. Draft Wendell Moore (SF, 6’5 217) with the #42 pick.

-After trading away Fournier & Reddish, they can plug a wing right in to get that depth back and Wendell Moore does just that. Moore is a very well rounded and should have a fairly smooth transition into the NBA after three seasons at Duke.

  4. Sign & Trade for Zach Lavine (Four Year Contract Worth $158 Million) for Alec Burks & Nerlens Noel.

Why? Rumors circulating Lavine and a possible departure from Chicago have begun and more an more teams will start throwing their names in the hat. If Lavine decides to peace the scene, Chicago will want something in return. Noel & Burks are very solid additions for a team that has little to none frontcourt/wing depth. Last offseason, the Knicks set themselves up to where all of their free agency signings would be off the books for the 2023 offseason in order to go after a max free agent. Plans change and they get their max guy a year early.

  5. Resign Mitchell Robinson to a Three Year Contract Worth 39.7 Million.

Why? Robinson started to show a lot of promise this past season on both ends of the floor. Robinson brings defense to this lineup that lacks raw defensive talent. Could maybe toss a team option on the third season in case Duren progresses quicker than expected.

  6. Sign & Trade Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (3 Year Contract Worth 21.4 Million, team option 3rd year) for Kemba Walker.

Why? Kemba found himself in the same situation as Cam Reddish and just couldn’t seem to find his role on the Knicks. He showed brief flashes, but ultimately ended up sitting out. Washington is in dire need of a PG if they want to be competitive with Bradley Beal. New York adds one of the more consistent 3 & D guys on a team friendly contract.

Knicks Ideal Starting Lineup: -Brogdon, Lavine, Barrett, Randle, Robinson

Bench Unit: -Rose, Quickley, KCP, Toppin, Duren

Rest of the Bench: McBride, Grimes, Moore Jr, Samanic, Sims
