The season has officially ended for all of these 4 teams and now all eyes turn to the offseason and what moves each team can make to improve. I tried to first start with this trade idea with the players and then move onto what the best estimate on picks would be. It's really hard to gauge the trade value of a lot of these players and there's obviously team's here that almost never trade with each other (Knicks/Nets) but I wanted to have fun and build a dream Thibs team while also trying to keep things fair for the other teams. Here's my best shot:

Knicks: Starting with my team, the Knicks. The Knicks reunited the Nova boys and add Mikal Bridges and add Lu Dort as well. This would end up with an absolutely loaded starting 5 on defense of Brunson, Dort, OG, Bridges and Robinson/Hartenstein. You'd still have some really solid backups with Deuce, DDV, Hart and potentially Achiuwa and anyone else the Knicks can sign. Basically, this team would be filled with tough, gritty players who fit the current culture and who want to play every minute of every game. It would also be a pretty deep team as well. On offense, you still have Brunson, the 1-A of this team leading the way. But you also have Dort who while he isn't a great 3 point shooter, is a decent midrange and a great driver. Then you have OG and Bridges who are great 3 point shooters and have both shown that they can create their own shot as well. To get these two players, I would honestly give up all of the Knicks picks that they can. I truly believe we would've been much closer this year if not for injuries and that any moves made this offseason need to be made with team culture front of mind.

Nets: The Nets have been looking for a foundational star and hoped they'd found one in Bridges. While he had a great second half of last season, this season has been tough for the team. Bridges is a fantastic player (hence why I want him on the Knicks) but he's not the foundational star that the Nets want. Darius Garland may be that star and with this trade, the Nets get him and a ton of picks (they'd probably need more though to be honest) with which to rebuild. They still would have a ton of tradeable contracts and could continue to make moves. But on offense, this team would be lethal and pretty fun to watch.

Cavs: The Cavs definitely took a step forward this year but questions remain about the fit between Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland. While Garland looked great at times, he often disappeared as they struggled to fit enough touches for him and Mitchell. This trade would be the start of many where the Cavs re-stock their draft chest while getting a solid young player in Giddey who can distribute well and make life easier for it's other starters and a couple of veterans in Bogdonavic and Schroder. I'm not sure either of the veterans would stick around but both have very tradeable contracts so the Cavs could continue to try and make moves. This team excelled when Mitchell was running things and I think proved that he can be their leading man.

Thunder: The Thunder had an incredible season but fell short in the playoffs because their offense couldn't get it done and they were crushed on the boards. Losing Lu Dort his a huge blow, but he has his limitations on offense and Shai has shown that he is definitely the alpha of this group. Shai is also a great defender and they'd still have Holmgren swatting away on defense and stretching the floor on offense. Randle has shown that he can co-exist with another star and he's someone who gets you 20/10/5 regularly while being a solid passer. He's also not too expensive and despite being an All-NBA player, may not have a huge price tag on the trade market. He would immediately give the Thunder another creator on offense and someone who grabs a ton of boards. They do lose Giddey as well but he was featured less and less as the playoffs went on and the Thunder keep their prize 3 of Shai, Williams and Holmgren. They'd still have plenty of draft capital to continue to make moves but would have addressed their biggest weakness with one move.
