Why would Bucks do this?
They're stuck in no man's land. No picks, mediocre team, garbage coach. Even if Giannis says he doesn't want out, trading him to a contender is the best thing that could benefit both sides.
They get their picks back + valuable assets that they could trade/be part of their retooled team
Why would Knicks do this?
They just went 2-10 in their last 12 games. They went from 23-9 to 25-18. Now I'm not saying to overreact, and I still truly believe this team is capable of winning a chip and is just going through some adversity, but this would be an all-in move. A trade for one of the best players in the world to pair with your star PG is quite a dream, add the fact that they are surrounded by elite defenders (Hart, OG, Miles Turner maybe) this team would no doubt work
But in order for this team to work, you need spacing. that's why you acquire Miles in the package. Starting to work well with Giannis, and his spacing is a great factor for that. Josh would maybe move to the 2/3 spot along with OG. or start Deuce
Portland? Why would they do this?
KAT is a shooting star center. Portland lacks shooting. Kat will fit well there like glove.
Kat will go to the 4 spot alongside Clingan. His defensive woes will be hidden with Clingan, Jrue, Deni, even Camara and Thybulle as his defenders. Portland is a defensive minded team, he just focuses on his offense.
