The only way I could see Memphis wanting to do this is if JJJ wants out after trading Ja. And even then they don't really get what they want in terms of young players and picks. They'd get off of the KCP contract at least.

Knicks should do this. They get a bit younger and have a better baseline with the strong defense. They lose ceiling and rebounding and keep the idiotic foul issues. The KCP contract would cause some issues with the aprons this summer.
