Trade Robinson to the Bulls for Ball and pick 45. Trade pick 45, 50 and a future second(protected) for 33 to get a rookie with some promise. Sign Horford to the TPMLE.
Gives us secondary ball handling, size and good defense with some upside if Ball can get closer to his 21/22 output.
Maybe Al Horford can get through to KAT, if not he and Hukporti should be able to handle backup center duties if KAT remains the starting center.
Trading up in the second round was just an idea, might be nice to get Brea or Powell, depending on whether you want defense or shooting off the bench. At least one guaranteed elite skill.
I value Robinson pretty high after the playoffs he had and Ball's injury history is even more questionable than Robinson's. The Bulls do not seem to want to blow it up, so Robinson could be a good option at center when they move on of Vucevic.
Don't love moving Robinson, but you have to give to get.
You could argue McBride should start at the 2, which I agree could work. But you are pretty small then and McBride's creation has not been great. Awesome shooter and defender and I think he would thrive as a starter with more consistent minutes, but there are limitations.
Not sure the Hornets would be interested in their part of the trade. But you should be able to move up a good amount in the second round with those 3 picks.
