TLDR: Here the Knicks get more on ball creation and better defense while the Grizzlies get a big three and the perfect center to pair with jjj and the Magic get more shooting while keeping their defensive identity and free up the center room a bit(precious is just salary filler, I am talking about McBride).
Pros and Cons for each team:
Knicks:
Pros
No more weakness defensively at the center positions. A rotation of Goga, Mitch, and Huk and even Clarke at the small ball 5 means there will always be a good to great defender at the 5. Goga also excels next to more spacing(tends to struggle next to Paolo), so surrouding him with a guy who the worst shooter is 36% from 3(on an off year) should mean good things/
More on ball creation. Knicks don't really have a secondary creator. Bane isn't perfect, but is more adept at pnrs than Mikal or Og, not to mention hes an amazing shooter
More depth. Hart move to the 6 man spot, Clarke is a really good piece, vince had a down year with injuries but was really solid the year before, Mitch is great, cam was one of the best backups in the league this year.
gain a pick
Cons
Losing Kat means you don't have a second star, Bane, Mikal, Og, and even Hart are all sub all star even if they are really good players
Some large injury concerns being added, mainly Clarke and Vince have both been relatively inconsistent in addition to Mitch.
Rebounding may struggle with less Hart minutes(though Idt it will)
Grizzlies:
Pros
Get a spacing and very good rebounding center next to JJJ, they cover each other's weaknesses very well
More star power, if they want to rely on Ja and jjj, they just need more, Kat is more
Still have plenty of room to sign depth pieces after making this move until jjj extension kicks in next year
Cons
A lot of money tied up in three guys once jjj signs
Kat is obviously not a great defender, is jjj enough to cover him
rely on Ja a lot more for intiating offense without bane, is both a good and bad thing
lose a pick
Magic:
Pros
More shooting, McBride on what was considered an off year(and a year hes been largely playing through injury) still shot 37% from 3 on 5 attempts a game in 22 mpg.
Cons
Goga is really good, they already have guys like Wendell, JI, and Mo(when he comes back) but he didn't even play in the playoffs(which I am actually confsued as to why, it appears concussion played a big role, but he also struggles next to Paolo and is better with elite defenders, aka Suggs).
Final Knicks rotation(since I am a knicks fan): Starters: JB, Bane, Mikal, Og, Mitch/Goga Bench: Cam, Vince, Hart, Clarke, Mitch/Goga Sophomores: Kolek, Pacome, Mccullar, Hukporti (I think one of these guys breaks into rotation next year no matter the off season moves)
