The Knicks have clearly been working behind the scenes to find a solution to their lack of depth at the center position after losing Hartenstein to OKC and haven't completed the Mikal Bridges trade officially as a result. This is an expansion of that trade to allow them to sign some additional players. I will note that I'm not including all of the draft picks in this trade because there's so many and it gets confusing, but the Knicks would likely be sending out some second rounders on this trade.

Knicks: I'm not going to cover the Bridges part, but suffice it to say I'm very excited about this part. The Knicks lose Deuce in this scenario which is honestly brutal. But there's no way they're trading Mitchell Robinson at this point and it's really only Jericho Sims and Diakite as players who they'd consider trading. Both go out in this scenario, mainly for salary cap relief and while I loathe to lose Deuce, he's their biggest asset now that they've used most of their draft capital on the Bridges trade. However they replace him with Russell Westbrook who is looking for a new home this season. Russ may not be what he is, but as the backup PG he would fit the Knicks perfectly. The second unit would have enough 3 point shooting and he's a player who grinds and plays hard every minute which fits the Knicks culture. He's also a great rebounder which is something that Thibs loves. The Knicks also bring in Nick Richards who they've reportedly been tracking and would fit as a durable backup to Mitch. I'd also try to bring in Omer Yurtseven on a minimum contract but he's not showing up here. Finally, they sign Saddiq Bey for a couple years and let him recover from his injury and rehab his value as well.

Clippers: The Clippers have made a lot of moves since letting Paul George walk but still need a backup big man. They sign and trade for Achiuwa who did a great job for the Knicks this past season. They also replace Russ with Deuce, who's younger, on a great contract and is an amazing defender.

Nets: The Nets simply take on Diakite's contract which they'll probably waive. This is more of a salary cap move than anything.

Hornets: The Hornets add Burks as a veteran presence and Sims to replace Richards. They're not looking to win now and are tanking so they'd probably need some draft compensation from the Knicks or Clippers.
