Josh Hart, the heart of this team, may have to go. Hes awesome, objectively, but he doesnt really fit the starting 5 of this current team with his lack of spacing and lack of size.
PJ fixes both of these issues and saves the knicks money. This trade is essentially a starter for a 6 man. PJ is a better start than Hart, but Hart is a better 6man, and with the AD trade and Flagg coming in, you best believe that PJ is coming off the bench. Hart can play 2 thru 4, and should fit despite his spacing issues because the Mavericks will be a very rebound centric team already running AD and a center together.
Mavs also get Brogdon here to fill in for Kyrie while he is out and keep the boat afloat, while the Wizards cash in on some seconds for taking on a relatively medicore contract(not the worst, not the best).
Knicks lineup: JB, MIkal, Og, PJ, Kat Bench: your choice of free agents plus McBride and Mitch. Could keep Shamet and Delon, could sign guys like Larry Nancy and Jake Laravia for wing, depth, theres a bunch of stuff but Idk what the free agent market is gonna be like with the CBA.
Mavs: Brogdon(until Krie is back), Klay, Flagg, AD, Lively Bench: Hardy, Chrsitie, Hart, Naji, Gafford (lowkey really deep team they are gonna be good)
Wizards: draft picks.
