Giannis could request out of Milwaukee this summer and the Knicks make all the sense in the world. I believe Giannis will request to be traded here. Firstly I did not include any picks because there will likely be swaps and probably the Knicks 2031 first which they won’t have access to until the offseason. There will definitely be some draft capital headed to MIL. The trade with the Bucks drops the Knicks below the First Apron and allows them to do the second trade by signing and trading Achiuwa along with Kolek and second round picks to bring back Divincenzo. I feel that Divincenzo will inevitably be back with the Knicks at some point. He would be the perfect final piece creating a starting five of Brunson, Divincenzo, Bridges, Antetokounmpo, and Towns. That is the best starting 5 in the NBA and the shooters around Giannis with the pressure he puts on the rim will be unstoppable offensively. Giannis will also help some of the Knicks current problems with rebounding and helping with rim protection as the Knicks would go from a 6’7 Anunoby at the PF next to KAT to a near 7’0 Giannis. The depth of the Knicks would take a hit but they would still have Josh Hart off the bench and the Tax Payer MLE to use. With the Tax Payer MLE set at $5,685,000 this offseason I think the Knicks could sign Nickeil Alexander-Walker for the bench and bring back Cam Payne again on the Vet Minimum. A veteran like Torrey Craig or another Vet forward that can be signed on the minimum would be nice for depth. The final piece to the puzzle will be the coach. Not sure what the Knicks will do as that is a wait and see based on the Knicks performance in the 2025 playoffs. If they lose in the second round for the 3rd straight year I could see Thibs being let go and a guy like Dan Hurley taking the job. All together the Knicks could look something like this in 2025-2026:
