Once again, I dont want to trade Randle, but if this season doesn't go to plan this is a possibility

As I've stated before there aren't many teams available that would really want Randle. The Lakers are an interesting one though. A team that has shown interest in many b tier stars time and time again a player of Randle's caliber makes sense, but does the fit? Its questionable, I'll go through and say what I think.

Lakers: This is an all in move to compete for the next 2 years with Lebron still playing basketball at a high level. Lebron would move back to the 3 and the front court would be massive, probably the most physically imposing in the league by far. Randle is not a great fit on this team largely due to spacing, but Lebron was a 40% 3 point shooter and AD, though not being a great floor spacer with his shooting, is a good passing big man and has a good mid range. Assuming the Lakers start Reaves and Vincet at the guard spots this team should be a very well spaced team(at least in the starting 5), meaning Randle shouldn't suffer like he did with the Knicks in 2020-21/21-22 season when his only shooter was reggie bullock. It would certainly be hard to stop a team with the likes of Lebron, Randle, and AD as a front court, but I also don't know if this team has enough defense to stop others. It would be a gamble by the lakers but maybe it pays off.

Knicks: Knicks only make this trade if the team is underperforming or if they determine Randle is not really contributing or is just a bad fit on this newly cosntructed team. This return is not great but I like it a lot. Rui is 6'8 player with a 7'2 wingspan who was a very good catch and shoot 3 point shooter last year and a decent, if not good defender. Larry Nance is a very good defender at the 4 and 5 spots as a well as a solid shooter(42% from 3 last year but expect a regression towards mean) and solid passer. Getting these 2 players plus a small restock in draft capital to make a move down the line or just have a plan for the future is a solid return. This team should be very good with or without randle, and though I personally think that if Randle buys in this team can be tier 1 contenders(only behind Celtics and maybe OKC in odds), there is a world where Randle is not really a positive and the team performs better or similarly as good without him, meaning it is more beneficial to trade for complementary pieces such as these. Not a trade I love but I don't hate it either.

Hawks: This is a steal value wise for them even if it doesnt make sense for their team completely. Larry Nance is good but Dlo is unquestionably better, but is on a worse contract. Maybe Hawks get or give a couple seconds in this deal, but Dlo can either backup trae for the year and a be a mentor figure, he can be used in another trade down the line to try to pull in some extra draft capital, even if its just some seconds, or he can replace trae young allowing the hawks to trade trae and fully build around Jalen Johnson while not having a complete hole at the pg spot.

Let me know what you think and if a team is getting absolutely fucked here. As a knicks fan I think the Knicks get the worse value probably but itll be tough to trade Randle if he is not having a great season, which would likely be why this trade happens in the first place(note that "not a great season" for Randle is often still 20-10-5 on just below avg efficiency and a higher turnover rate, dude puts up good numbers consistently even if its ugly to watch sometimes).
