Influenced by another trade idea.
Jazz: they don’t like walker cause he can’t shoot. Santi can shoot pretty well(35% on 5 attempts a game). He’s also got a pretty solid all around game and a good Olympics showing. Jazz would prob get some picks back here as well, just no idea how much.
Grizzlies: Randles rebounding allows Jaren to play the 5 and less reliance on starting a rookie. Brandon Clarke is also a good backup at the 4/5 to play w any of the other 3 front court guys. Giving up Marcus smart is a bit annoying ig but with guys like Vince Williams and gg Jackson showing their skills as well as still have guys like kennard, and konchar(and others I’m forgetting) their backcourt depth is fine. Memphis likely gives up some draft capital here(at the higher 2 firsts and some seconds at the lowest some seconds idrk)
Wizards: a kuzma for smart swap. They likely get back picks here but smart could honestly fetch more value than kuzma on the trade market if he plays a healthy season. We’ve seen the importance of role players like him in recent years(jrue holiday his replacement, herb jones, derrick white, etc) so maybe wizards just take some seconds back and try to flip him in the off season(my guess is similar to their plan w brogdon, bridging will prob be traded at this point for some value so smart would take his place)
Knicks: downgrade at pf to get a guy who fits better. Kuzma is not an efficient number 1 or great(even rly good) playmaker, but he’s put up 20+ points recently and scored ~15 as the 3/4 option in a championship team while also being an avg/above avg defender. In addition to the downgrade Knicks also get walker Kessler to make the center room much better again. Knicks maybe give up some draft capital here mainly due to the expiring contract of randle
