Los Angeles Lakers x Milwaukee Bucks | Trade Explanation
Anthony Davis has struggled to stay on the court ever since joining the LA Lakers in 2019. It would be understandable if the Lakers decide to trade Davis for a more reliable player. The latest rumors suggest that a former NBA champion is the ideal acquisition in exchange for Davis.
In an interview with Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports, an anonymous Western Conference executive named Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks as a target. The executive explained that Middleton compliments LeBron James, but that could lead to a big hole down the middle for the Lakers.
New York Knicks x Los Angeles Lakers | Trade Explanation
Getting James a point guard who can shoot is the point of this deal. In all likelihood, the Lakers would start Rose and continue using Westbrook as a sixth man following this deal.
The Knicks don’t necessarily covet Beverley here. They’re simply moving on from Rose. Allegedly, there’s a mutual interest in parting between the two parties. Rose has fallen out of New York’s rotation after adding Jalen Brunson in free agency. The Knicks seem intent on moving him to a better situation. Meanwhile, Beverley hasn’t met expectations as a Laker this year either. That’s fine. He remains a significantly better defensive guard than Rose.
