This trade is meant to address team needs.

• Orlando simply has too many bigs and not enough shooters. This gives them room to develop Bamba in game action and allow Fultz to become more of a facilitator to Beal/Fournier/Gordon.

• Utah needs their offense to come from somewhere other than the perimeter. Vucevic gives them that flexibility as one of the best post scorers in the league as well as an elite rebounder.

• Washington finally solves their defensive problems by getting arguably the best defensive center in the league. It also gives them a massive expiring contract for 2021-22's big free agency window.
