Orlando
Sign and Trade Bamba to OKC. Frees up space for Wendell Carter Jr. to be the true starting 5.
Okeke's role hasn't matched with his productivity. Trading him to a team with more depth at his position allows him to slide into a true defensive wing role who takes occasional shots, rather than needing to be a shot creator.
Orlando adding a likely late lottery pick allows them to add depth to an already young roster.
Potential Rotation (not including draft):
Fultz, Suggs, Wagner, Isaac, Carter Jr. >> Anthony, Hampton, Ross, M. Wagner, Bol
If they hit in the lottery at number 2 and 12, they could potentially draft Jabari Smith and Jalen Duren leading rotations to be:
Fultz, Suggs, Wagner, Isaac, Carter Jr. >> Anthony, Hampton, Ross, Smith, Duren
OKC
With three first round picks in this years draft, OKC can afford to move a pick to gain some lower risk options.
Bamba proved he can be a reliable stretch 5. While he needs to improve his rebounding, his shot-blocking is still a force to be reckoned with.
Okeke in a roll where he can be a catch and shoot defensive wing player could thrive. In the second half of the season Okeke shot around 37% from deep and averaged ~1.5 steals a game.
If they hit in the draft, they could accelerate their timeline to being a mid-tier playoff team in the 2022-23 season.
