Why They Do This
Orlando
  • Shed some a ton of cash off their payroll and get a solid prospect in Nesmith.

  • Two firsts may seem like a lot to ask for from the Thunder, but they're the least valuable (aside from the via-Clippers 1st). The one via Miami may not be available until 2026 due to protections in each year, and Phoenix pick is also protected until 2025 I believe.

Wizards

  • Get a decent return for Beal. Won't get much worse than they are

  • Gain a large expiring contract in Fournier. He'll contribute decent shooting, and will free up 17 mil after the season.

Celtics

  • Uh...they get Beal...enough said really

  • They get a solid Center in Horford. His contract sucks, but he'll fit in nicely with the team they have.

Thunder

  • Kemba and SGA sound like a dangerous duo moving forward.

  • Take a chance on Bamba. He can play right away and develop, and I like the Thunder's odds of resigning him after the season
