Jrue on the Celtics makes quite a lot of sense. This trade gets him there while also making them less injury dependent.

The Celtics trade Brogdon, Robert Williams and 2 firsts for Holiday. They have enough shot creation to cover up Jrue's not-amazing offensive bag. Obviously, they've been willing to trade Brogdon throughout the entire summer and Williams has also been rumored to be on the trade block. They might not want to give up two firsts, but I believe somebody will, so they may have to offer that if they want Jrue on the team.

The Mavericks get a solid deal, giving up THJ and a pick swap for a starting center that, when healthy, is one of the league's best rim-protectors.

The Blazers obviously do this for the draft capital, which they get a lot of in this trade, but also for a little added shooting and front-court depth. I think that's a very good return for Jrue at this point.

The Jazz need a natural point guard to run their offense. They'd probably like somebody younger than Brogdon, but they get him for just THT and Olynyk. THT has been good for them, but Brogdon is just a way better player and a better fit on Utah's roster.

All in all, I think this trade works out very nicely and I don't see any team passing on it.
