I'm him, let me know how much I cooked in the comments.
Had to take a shot at estimating the Value for Austin Reaves, Coby White, Reed Sheppard an the 10th overall pick this draft. I think I managed to please all the teams and what they are trying to do.
Mavericks: Get guard play and playmaking. Lakers: Get a Center, get assets, and free up cap space. Rockets: Get offensive talent on the team, to score and playmake. Bulls: Trade assets for promising talent and picks for a rebuild.
Now I think I was pretty fair with everyone in this trade. Yes every team is sacrificing something, but they get a need in return. That is the nature of trades.
If there is something in this trade that might not be right. That would be, either that the Rockets feel they are giving too much assets, and will rather use the assets to get someone else like a Kevin Durant or Giannis. Or it would be the Lakers don't feel they are getting enough back. Yes AR is good, but they are in a tough position and freeing up 22 mill in cap space, getting two 2nds pick, and getting a good, young starting Center, is really not a bad option for them. If not the only one.
P.S. Btw I know the Stepian rule is on the Rockets 2028 1st round pick. This can just be a placeholder for some draft capital. Like a different 1st or a bunch of seconds or sum.
