Timberwolves get Kyrie + Micah Peavy
They loose Randle and Rob Dillingham. They never really needed Rob so that's ok and Kyrie is a better Fit than Randle + they can move Naz in the Starting 5 and give Beringer a chance.
Pelicans receive Tobias Harris, Dillingham
First of all the Pels get rid of Poole's contract, probably the worst in the league. They pay 1 FRP and 2 SRP for that and still get a valuable young guy in Dillingham and Harris, who is an expiring, but maybe they resign him in summer if he fits. Still have the Milwaukee or Atlante SWAP (Lottery pick guaranteed) and their own 2027 pick. So they are good.
Pistons receive Julius Randel
He is definitely better than Tobias Harris and is under contract for 3 more years. His contract isn't bad. They give up 1 FRP in the future for a guy who averages 8 more points on equal efficiency. So the Pistons make steal right here.
Hornets get Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall + 2 FRPs, 2032 Pick SWAP via MIN and 1 SRP
If the Mavs trade Kyrie (I hope not) it means they want to rebuild. So they need their 2027 FRP. They give the Hornets to good pieces and take on 2 bad contracts and give them a good pick compensation. Maybe they could give the Hornets 2 more SRPs, but Hornets have enough SRPs. This would be a desperation move by the Mavs, but the Hornets get pretty good value. And if the Mavs don't get their pick they wouldn't trade Kyrie and this means the Pick isn't as good (Maybe around 12-20) and the 2027 draft class isn't as good as the 2026.
Mavs get Jordan Poole, Pat Connaughton, Grant Williams + 2026 MIN FRP on draft day, their own 2027 FRP, Pelicans 2028 FRP and a SRP
They literally blow it up completely. They have 3 FRPs in 2026 and no pressure because they got their pick back. They can take their time and develop young players around Flagg. Lively can take his time to come back and there is no need to risk another injury. Plus they can still trade PJ and Gafford. In 2027 Free Agency Jordan Pooles Contract expires and they get loads of cap space to sign 1-2 good players to compete.
This move definitely gives the Mavericks and Flagg some time and probably would be, but I want Kyrie to stay. Therefore a Kyrie trade only happens, if they get their own 2027 Pick.
Timberwolves: B --> Kyrie is old and they have a 2-3 year win now window, but I am not a Randle believer so its ok
Pistons: A+ --> They got better without a sacrifice
Hornets A+ --> Like I said if the Mavs don't trade Kyrie they will still be a solid team next szn and the Pick won't be valuable. And they only trade Kyrie, if they get the pick. So you just trade it back for a very good value and you get 2 Win now players for 2 bad contracts. Your bench would be one of the best in the league. (Klay, Naji, Green, Kalkbrenner, Coby White) ++++
Pelicans: B+ --> They get rid of Poole's contract (worst in the league) and get a young player + cap space and "only loose" 1 FRP in 2028, in which year they maybe should think of starting to compete.
Mavericks: A --> If you think about what the Mavs had one year ago this trade is an F. But under these circumstances it is maybe the right choice. Give Cooper Flagg the keys to the Franchise and give yourself 1 more year. Especially because the Free Agency class this year is not very good and you can give your 3 FRPs + Flagg + Lively + Christie one more year to develop, so maybe it is a good time to pull the trigger and blow it up with Kyrie as well and start a new chapter with Flagg.
