Dallas cant take chances with trading Anthony Davis. Sure giving up bwill kinda sucks but the idea is that we would be adding a top guard in the draft. Dallas would tank while Kyrie heals to try to guarantee a very high draft pick whether or not the pick is swapped. I believe the hawks would eventually do this getting a player that puts them ahead of other east teams especially if Giannis is unavailable. They would be getting a good backup guard they could resign for cheap and only giving up expirings zac and moving down only a few spots in the loaded 2026 draft.
