Mavericks:
Yes it's really sad to let PJ and Gafford, two great role players go away, but the Mavericks are in desperate need for another guard and playmaking especially in the first half of the season when Kyrie's out. They get that and more from Coby White, who standing at 6.5 can likely even play along sides Kyrie when he gets back, making the this Guard pair one of the best Guard pairs in the league. With the loss of Gafford, and Lively and AD being injury prone players we also get Jalen smith a good young Center on a solid contract to be the back up center. The Mavericks can add or subtract picks or pick swaps if needed for the trade, but I think the 2029 pick swap seems about fair.
Pretty much: PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford for Coby White and Jalen Smith. Again add picks /swaps if needed.
The starting lineup up would be disgusting (in a good way). Pg: Kyrie Sg: Coby White Sf: Cooper Flagg (lol) Pf: Anthony Davies C: Lively Bench: Klay Thompson - Naji Marshall - Max Christie - Caleb Martin - Jalen Smith - BWill/Jaden Hardy. This is a nasty team, with insane depth, favorites to win in my opinion.
Lakers:
Yes it's tough to give up Austin Reaves but you loose 20+ mill in bad contracts of (Kleber and Gabe), get a great starting Center in Gafford which they can sign to a new contract to pair with Luka, and a back-up C for the year in Zach Collins (needed to match contracts), a solid backup C. They also get Lonzo Ball back for reunion to replace the guard depth for AR. Lonzo is a great defender that can play with Luka on a good contract. I was thinking of sending Rui Hachimura to the Nuggets instead of Gabe Vincent, but he has played well for them so I don't know if they value him highly or not.
Pretty much: Austin Reaves and a 1st pick for Gafford, Lonzo Ball and a backup Center. Not terrible. Maybe I'm valuing Austin Reaves way too low, in that case you can take the Lakers pick back.
The Lakers starting lineup would be good: Pg: Luka Doncic Sg: Lonzo Ball Sf: DFS Pf: Lebron James C: Daniel Gafford Bench: Rui - Zach Collins - Knecht - Vanderbilt. Def needs some work.
Nuggets:
Lets be honest, Michael Porter Jr is not worth 40 million dollars to anyone in the league and with Christian Braun's and Peyton Watsons contract extensions coming up, the Denver Nuggets need to get rid of that shit. So they the Bulls take the contract and the upside (lol) of MPJ and a 2031 1st round pick from the Denver Nuggets, The Nuggets aid in the AR to the Bulls by taking on the Gabe Vincent contract and they PJ Washington a great roleplayer to pair with Jokic to build a championship team. Maybe you think that this is an insane trade for the Nuggets (too good for them), well... that's because it probably is. MPJ is a good player but as we have seen in the past in the NBA, that a good roleplayer making as much money as he is, becomes a negative asset. So maybe its unfair that for a 1st overall pick they get rid of the contract and get PJ Washington. But it just fits the trade well so fuck it. Maybe the Nuggets Move A role player to the Lakers or something I don't know.
Pretty much: Give a 2031 1st and take Gabe contract, to get rid of MPJ contract and get PJ Washington, but I dunno the 2031 unprotected might be really good lol.
The starting lineup would be great, the PJ addition would help a lot on making up for what Jokic lacks on the defensive end. Pg: Jamal Murray Sg: Christian Braun Sf: PJ Washington Pf: Aaron Gordon C: Nikola Jokic Bench: Peyton Watson - Julian Strathford - Gabe Vincent.. I dunno, they would have to do something else to address the bench depth. Maybe pick somebody up in free agency. They have freed up some cap space, so it's a possibility.
Chicago Bulls
Okay, lets finally address why the Bulls would participate in this bullshit mess of a trade.
The Chicago Bulls need to rebuild, they have refused for many years to do it, I think this trade is a step in the process of beginning that magical rebuild. They let go of Coby White, whom (lol) they would have had to pay which is not optimal for the rebuild, if he even would have wanted to stay there for the rebuild. They loose Lonzo Ball, who they were already looking to trade for draft compensation. They give Zach Collins, which is yes devastating for the Bulls fans, him being the fan favorite and possibly the best player on the team, but also comma lol, is needed to sacrifice for the trade. They also give up Jalen Smith who is young and promising, which is tough, but I think they get fair recompensating for him plus all the others. Okay lets get to it, They get two possibly valuable 1st round draft picks from the Lakers: 2031 1st and the Nuggets: 2031 1st. Then whatever draft compensation the Mavs give, which is a 2029 pick swap in this case. They then take on the contracts of MPJ and Maxi Kleber, and Yes MPJ's contract is big, I think he could ball in Chicago and gain some value, which they can maybe use in the future. Then the big thing is they Get Austin Reaves. Whether it's too build around as a still young (26) Austin Reaves as a cornerstone, or just use him and gain his value, and trade him right away (reroute) or down the line. Nothing bad can come from him, a great piece for them. Jesus Christ that text is a clusterfuck.
Pretty much: Coby White, Lonzo Ball, Jalen Smith & Zach Collins, for 2 future 1st, a future 1st swap. MPJ and Austin Reaves.
Starting lineup: Nobody gives a shit.
