Mavs are looking for younger players. Mathurin gives them a possible Robin for Cooper Flagg. Nembhard is a brilliant secondary playmaker and possible point guard in a pinch. This is a really good deal for Davis. Tobias Harris probably gets bought out and signs with the Spurs

Last night may have convinced the Spurs to go for it and they can do that at a minimal cost, really. The 2026 No. 1 is probably in the 21-24 range and the No. 2 doesn't matter. The 2030 probably hurts a little. The loss of Barnes probably hurts but they can sign Tobias Harris when he gets bought out by the Mavs.

Detroit needs three point shooting and picks it up for minimal cost. I think Barnes and Harris are pretty comparable and Klay can still hit the three Think of all those looks he's going to get in Detroit.

The Pacers, given the state of their payroll and the attitide of ownership probably won't sign Mathurin and Gafford is cost controlled for 4 years. The cost control is what really recommends him over Zubac as Zubac is only signed for two more. Rick Carlisle will have all sorts of fun with Marshall and Christie can certainly hit the three and play pretty good defense. Plus the Pacers need to tank to get a top 4 pick, preferrably a top 3. Imagine Halliburton, Siakam and Dybantsa on the floor together, plus Dybantsa leads you into your next stage after Halliburton and Siakam move on. Plus you have the ability to develop him on a good team (same with Wilson if the Pacers fall to four)
